Archeological Museum, Saint-Romain-en-Gal
Connected by a glass-covered walkway, two building rise above the Roman vestiges. One houses the reception area, temporary exhibitions and administrative offices. A monumental stairway leads from the Rhône river to the roof terrace which commands a fine view of the site. The other building houses the permanent exhibition. It has floor to ceiling windows and stands on stilts. Sun-shadings in silk-screened glass modulate the direct sunlight. An uncovered ramp leads down to the archaeological site.
