Technocentre Renault, Guyancourt
“L’Avancée” is the first building confronted by the visitor entering the Renault Technocenter complex. The building is developed around a main axis which anchors it to the site. An inclined plane, the “fifth facade”, is perforated with openings which reveal the grid composition of the building and bring natural light to its center. The inclination creates a transition between the horizontality of the site and the verticality of the buildings that follow. Design studios are harboured in the low horizontal structure extending from the inclined plane.
