Office building Velizy Square - Gecina, Vélizy-Villacoublay
A single body is shaped into a highly legible wavelike motion to create a smooth, simple architecture. In the central part, between the two curves, the building becomes narrower and highly transparent. Like an isthmus between two islands, this part produces a natural division into two plots. The sun-shadings, in the form of perforated metal louvers, give a rhythmic pattern to the large supple ribbons of the façades. The curve of the prows at either end extends the undulating shape. An exceptional water garden participates in the environmental approach and offers a wide variety of plant-life in a peaceful landscaped setting.
