Le France, Paris, 13e

Le France, which now houses the Orange Business Centre, displays a stark geometric design in keeping with the spirit of this new district of the 13th arrondissement. Divided into four blocks separated by interstices, the structure opens with a curved angle onto Avenue de France and Boulevard Vincent Auriol. The smooth, mineral façade is made of large glass panels that are flush with the stone framework. The transparency of the sills, in silkscreened glass, increases from bottom up. A vast porch leads to the central atrium, a bright, warm spectacular space, with a wood cladding that stands in stark contrast to the huge glass roof.
