Zénith, Mauricius
The shape derives from the meeting of two programmes: a conference and exhibition hall and a concert hall. These two entities, connected by a covered square, are integrated into a graceful silhouette in a curve with a double inflection. At the centre of the building, a covered square separates the conference and exhibition spaces on two floors from the concert space and the hall under the seating.. The frame is a post and beam structure in metal and wood. With the exception of the seating and the mezzanines in the exhibition gallery, which are in concrete, the predominant material is wood.
