Renovation of the Maison de la Culture, Bourges
The renovation restores the building’s original quality features while making it possible to hold two shows at the same time. The grand entrance lobby recovers its majestic appearance, and the stages of the two performance spaces have been rebuilt and find their natural place in the 1930s building, like a new construction in an old one. The big auditorium, which can now seat 700, offers state-of-the-art visual and acoustic comfort. Technical premises, dressing rooms, storage space, and so on are housed in an extension.
