Glass table II
The glass plate is supported by four glass legs. Near the glass top, the legs curve outward to provide the necessary stability. The dismountable legs are joined to the top by glued inserts and steel wire. The sandblasting adds a translucent mass effect to the whole and makes the glass opalescent. It captures light and underscores the unity of the object. The different between architecture and design is basically the scale, not the process of creation. In both cases, it’s a matter of finding the right fit between the design, the structure, and the possibilities of the material.
