Ice Rink, Montpellier
The three elements of the skating arena have curving battered blue concrete walls that converge toward the round plaza where the tramway stops. The entrance façade interrupts the movement and rises to the sky in a vertical and fragmented plan. The arena houses an athletic rink and a recreational rink, with an overhanging walkway open to the public. The walls of the recreational rink are treated as screens, 100 meters in length, which can be used to change ambiances and backdrops.
