Palais de la Glisse et de la Glace, Marseille
The sharp shapes of the sculpted island evoke pieces of rock crystal. The divided, folded structured is faced with a metal net whose refinement soften the forcefulness of the structure and reveals the depth of the facade. A big hall leads to the rinks for athletes and the general public, on concrete and on ice. The dynamic shapes give expression to the motion that characterizes this large facility.
