Hall 7 of the Exhibition Park, Paris-Nord Villepinte
The exhibition halls are arranged like flower petals to converge on a central plaza at the heart of the complex. The new hall takes the form of a new “petal.” It's a sculpted matt metal structure, whose edge profile is a continuous “band.” This band, which runs around the entire perimeter of the hall, gives it its unity. The linear shape of the building lends itself to the creation of a solar shaft which provides natural ventilation for the exhibition areas and offers natural lighting that structures the exhibition space. Sunlight is present in the hall and in the gallery which is equipped with sunshading in the form of aluminium louvers.
